The Town of Lakeview is currently recruiting for a Finance Director, to join our Team. The Town of Lakeview operates under a Council-Manager form of government and is a full - service town, staffed with approximately 23 FTE's and has a total budget for 2017 of $ 7.8 million. The Finance Director is responsible for general accounting and budgeting services.
Under the direction and supervision of the Town Manager, the Finance Director is responsible for the management and monitoring of Town funds, including maintaining the accounting system and records to readily reflect the financial condition of the Town. Responsibilities include the oversight of budgeting, financial planning, accounting operations, investments and financial reporting. Town funds managed by the Finance Director include the general fund, special revenue funds, debt services funds and enterprise funds.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Buisness Administration or a closely related field is preferred. Candidates may possess any combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrates their ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Must have three or more years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government finance. Experience using Caselle is extremely desired.
